| User Guide

| To send the relevant information from your computer system to the Swiftnet computer system an email application on your system is required. This application is normally supplied by the Internet Service Provider (ISP); as there are hundreds of different types we cannot give an authoritative account of how to use each. If you have problems using the email application when sending information over the internet to Swiftnet please contact our Help Line: 0800 279 4950 or +44 (0) 208 446 9494 Email: ops@swiftnet.co.uk and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can.

| Step 1
- Document
|
| The document should be in MS Word (*.doc) with page size set to A4 if you require merged fields (Please try to use standard fonts) alternatively simply check our Fonts List if you can not find the fonts you need on the list simply copy the fonts from your computer and email them to ops@swiftnet.co.uk
|
If merged fields are not required Swiftnet currently supports the following attachments:
- DOC - Microsoft Word 7.0 or previous
- RTF - Rich Text Format
- TIF - Tagged Image File Format
- TXT - Text files
- XLS - Microsoft Excel
- PDF - Adobe Acrobat
- PPT – Power Point

| Swiftnet attempts to support as many document formats as possible. If you need to send an unsupported document format please send a request to: ops@swiftnet.co.uk. We will review the request and make every attempt to add support for the document format.

| Step 2
- Data Base
|
| The Data Base should be in MS Excel (.xls), dbf (.dbf) or Comma Delimited (.csv) format.

Notes
- You may select ALL or SOME of the fields of your database to appear in the merged documents, in the positions as designated by you.
- The variables may appear as many times as you require.
- The last entry in the database is always end.
- The first column of the database is always the fax number.
- The second column of the database is always the company name.
- Details of this column will be included in your daily delivery report for easy reference.

- Header
|
| The header is an instructions list for the software on how to send the fax broadcast.

MERGE= (Y/N) (default is No)
- “Y” if you wish to send out a document with merged fields, option available only for MS Word documents
- “N” if you wish to send a fax broadcast to a database without any merged fields

- Department Name for Cost Analysis
- Up to 16 Alphanumeric characters
ATTACH= File1, File2, File3 (Default is “N”)
- Use this option if you wish to add different file types to your broadcast.
- DOC - Microsoft Word 7.0 or previous

- WRI - Windows Write

REF=
OFFPEAK= (Y/N) (Default is N)
- Use this if you wish to send the broadcast after 18:00 G.M.T
TRANSDATE=DD/MM/YY (Default is same day)
- Use this option to deliver your broadcast at a certain date.
TRANSTIME=HH:MM (Default is immdtly)
- Use this option to deliver your broadcast at a certain time of day.
TEST= (Y/N) (Default is “N”)
- If “Y” provide fax number for the test.
- Available only for our manual process.
PERMANENT= (Y/N) (Default is “N”)
- “Y” if your database is stored on Swiftnet system (If you attach a database and the permanent flag is “Y” the stored database will be replaced by the attached database).
- Use “N” if you wish to use the attached database for the fax broadcast.

Step 4
- Send
- Attach the Document and Database to your email message.
- Type the header instructions in the body text
- For automated process send your email message(s) to: intouchauto@swiftnet.co.uk for manual operation send to: ops@swiftnet.co.uk
