User Guide

Using Swiftnet is simple: Send an email to Swiftnet's mail server, and the message will be faxed to the fax machine you designate. All you need is a computer that has the ability to send and receive email, using any email software. Swiftnet allows you to attach the most common files, for details see the list of supported files. One Swiftnet account can be set up for multiple users and email addresses.

Compose an email message


To: fax=4402084467010@swiftnet.co.uk

Subject: (The subject of your fax)

Body:

Type your fax message here

And / Or

Attach your file to be faxed

Notes:

To:

  • Begin your fax with the "fax=" followed by the country code, city code, then the fax number ;For example, if you are sending a fax to number 020 8446 7010 in England, address your email to: fax=442084467010@swiftnet.co.uk.
  • Punctuation (dashes, periods, etc.) may be left in.

    Subject:

  • The subject field will not be included in the transmission.
  • The subject field will be included in the "Delivery Report" please use up to 15 characters.

    Body:

  • Text and attachments can be used together
  • All attachments must include their respective three letter extensions.
  • For best results we recommend that you first test the various types of messages and attachments you may be faxing.
  • For best results of Graphic Formats we recommend that you embed your graphic into a Microsoft Word document
  • Swiftnet attempts to support as many document formats as possible. If you need to send an unsupported document format please send a request to ops@swiftnet.co.uk.
  • We will review the request and make every attempt to add support for the document format.

Swiftnet currently supports the following attachments:

  1. DOC - Microsoft Word 7.0 or previous
  2. GIF - CompuServe Graphics Interchange Format
  3. HTM - Hypertext Markup Language
  4. RTF - Rich Text Format
  5. TIF - Tagged Image File Format
  6. TXT - Text files
  7. WRI - Windows Write
  8. XLS - Microsoft Excel
  9. PDF - Adobe Acrobat

Send your email

Delivery Report

Email2Fax confirms all successful or failed fax transmissions via email, a complete list including date & time of delivery, destination number, pages, duration, subject and answerback of the transmission will be sent by default every 15 minutes.
